We attended the C&IT Agency Forum 2024 held in Shoreditch, at the end of February. The forum is the biggest get together of agency professionals across the MICE industry. It was two days of insightful discussions, valuable networking as well as engaging entertainment.
Over the course of two days, the forum delved deep into crucial event themes, ranging from Artificial Intelligence and inclusion to sustainability and collaboration – all of which resonate with our own core values and expertise.
Topical keynote presentations, a personalised agenda and a novel networking approach all facilitated meaningful connection and engagement.
Our representative, Ian Morris (Client Services & Sales Director), emerged with his key takeaways from the forum:
Sustainability was key. With presentations highlighting initiatives from leading venues and suppliers to reduce their environmental impact. This included ACC Liverpool's efforts in renewable energy alongside community cohesion through local upskilling and a zero-food waste approach.
Renowned AI expert Daniel Hulme explored AI's transformative potential. This left a big mark on the audience and covered all key aspects of modern advancements in technology and artificial intelligence, including task automation, content generation, human representation, deep fakes, personas, insight extraction, decision making and human augmentation. Interestingly Daniel predicts that within 20 to 30 years AI will become the most intelligent species on the planet.
The forum's emphasis on cultivating trust, transparency, and creativity within client-agency relationships underscored the foundations for delivering exceptional value and ensuring long-term success. This is something that we at AE are incredibly passionate about and why our clients come back to us year after year.
Furthermore, integrating Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives into event planning emerged as a pivotal strategy, fostering deeper connections with clients and communities alike.
