Managing Director, Alister de Ternant, has exceeded his fundraising target by a remarkable 500%, raising over £5,000 for Leicester Hospitals Charity in just three hours during the ‘Boss Breakout’ challenge at Leicester Business Festival. With donations still coming in, Alister’s achievement amounts to an incredible £28.50 raised per minute.
The ‘Boss Breakout’ challenge saw East Midlands business leaders locked in a pop-up shop at Leicester’s Haymarket Shopping Centre, each tasked with raising £1,000 to ‘break out.’ The event has raised a total of £22,340 so far, with funds going towards the purchase of "SmileyScopes"—VR headsets designed to comfort young patients during challenging medical procedures at Leicester Children’s Hospital.
Alister de Ternant said: “I am proud to have been part of something incredibly meaningful. Thank you to everyone who replied to my calls, emails and messages and donated to help me smash my target..”
"Leicester’s Hospitals have been very supportive to my family and me, so it’s truly rewarding to give something back. I know the funds raised will make a meaningful impact.
"Well done to Leicester Hospitals Charity for making this outstanding Leicester Business Festival event happen.”
