Associate Events expands with four new hires in the past six weeks

The AE family has grown recently with the addition of four new team members. Project Managers Tara Glover and Charlotte Boyer, Digital Marketing Manager Graeme Hall, and Executive Office Manager Marie Clements all started within the past six weeks.

Associate Events’ expertise in event management, production, brand management and PR means that we work with a vast array of clients and businesses, all of whom have unique requirements. This growth is in response to growing demand on AE’s services and ensures that we exceed our current and future clients’ expectations. We hold a 97% retention rate on our clients, and we aim to keep it there!

The expansion adds two new Project Managers, giving us more capacity to devote more time to existing clients, and an enhanced level of service to those that might wish to work with us. Both Tara and Charlotte join us with myriad industry experience, and both have brought an energy and enthusiasm to the team that will keep us all on our toes.

Graeme has been brought onboard to oversee, manage and develop all things digital for us and our clients. It’s the first management role of its type at AE and we’re delighted he’s joined us.

It’s quite an undertaking: these days, every client has multiple digital channels on social media and the internet, all of which must work together as a coherent platform to deliver return on investment and very clearly defined objectives. Graeme’s background in digital media in the public sector means he’s well-versed in implementing digital strategies, whether on a shoestring or with a bit more of a budget to spend.

Marie joins as our new Office Manager, responsible for leading the charge on office development, structure and office operations. She’s tasked with keeping us all organised and making sure everything is working efficiently.

Events and PR can be a chaotic industry, with constant deadlines and ever-increasing demands. Marie’s calm and experience will be a great asset, as we expand our operations and take on ever more clients.

Tara Glover is taking the lead on several projects. She said:

“We’re working on some very exciting projects towards the end of this year, and I’m really enjoying being a part of them!

“In my previous position, I worked in internal events for a membership organisation of nurses working in private clinics alongside their NHS roles. It gave me a great insight align the private and public sectors and the challenges that this can present.

“The team here at Associate Events are all awesome, which makes me love my new role even more!”

Graeme Hall is our new Digital Marketing Manager and is already busy improving our social media and online outputs. He said:

“Associate Events has been a great move for me. The opportunity to specialise in digital again, and lead the digital strategy for AE is something that I’m really enjoying.

“I’ve already got my teeth into the task of improving our social media presence, and I’m working with our clients to ensure that their digital efforts are in tune with their overarching goals. It’s a challenge but one I’m really relishing.

“Everyone at AE has been incredibly welcoming, and I feel right at home already. It’s also great to be back in an office environment: due to the pandemic, I’ve spent the past 18 months working at my kitchen table, so interacting with people again is a welcome change!”

Charlotte Boyer has just come aboard as another Project Manager. She said:

“I was a Senior Event Manager at my previous company for over seven-and-a-half years. In that time, I strengthened my organisation, built business relationships and honed my multitasking skills.

“I never shy away from a challenge and will always help my team wherever I can. I’m looking forward to my new adventure here at Associate Events and becoming part of the team. I would say that my main strengths are my organisational skills and my ability to multi-task – which I can already tell is going to serve me well at AE!”'

Marie Clements is an experienced Office Manager. She said:

“I’m really excited to be taking on the role as Executive Office Manager at Associate Events. This is a new role at the company and I’m very much looking forward to implementing new procedures and systems and running the day-to-day office requirements, whilst supporting the team.

“I have over 20 years’ experience in various administrative roles, predominantly PA and Office Manager roles, and I will be using this experience to develop the role and AE alike.”

Alister de Ternant is our Managing Director, and the driving force behind Associate Events’ recent expansion. He said:

“It’s an exciting time for the company, as we head into our busiest period of the year. The pandemic was tough on our industry, but I am proud to say that we have continued to grow, even through these turbulent times – through the commitment, resilience and support of the amazing team at AE. Tara, Graeme, Charlotte and Marie have all hit the ground running, and will make a valuable and needed contribution as we continue to grow and deliver our industry leading services to our clients across the UK.

“But we’re not done yet! We’re currently looking for a National PR Specialist to join our team, and deliver our strategy around press and media relations. This is a key part of our offer, and one we’re looking to strengthen with the right person. Now is the time to join the Associate Events journey, and be part of something amazing as we position ourselves as the go-to organisation for businesses looking to take their business, product or service to the next level.”

If you would like to apply to become Associate Events’ new National PR Specialist, please see our job listing on LinkedIn or Indeed.com. We look forward to hearing from you.
